As the end of 2018 is incredibly close, I’ve been thinking about what I want to achieve in 2019. I only started my creative journey halfway through 2017 and it’s been something I’ve been doing sporadically, but I want to be more dedicated to art, bullet journalling and lettering in the new year. So without further ado, here are some of my 2019 goals!
update blog regularly
I created this blog in November 2017, but only made two blogposts until I decided to revive it last week. I run another blog – dedicated to books – so I will have to divide my time, but I am determined to post more regularly. At the very least, I want to show you my bullet journal spreads at the start of each month.
be active (on Instagram)
Instagram has always been the main platform where I share my art, mainly handlettering. That said, I went through periods of time where I wouldn’t create anything, only to suddenly get to urge to letter again. In 2019, I want to be more consistent. I want to practice every single week and have my Instagram account reflect that.
create more art
I began my creative journey by handlettering and bullet journalling. Lately, however, I’ve become inspired to create more actual art. I am absolutely not talented. In school, not one of my paintings, drawings, etc. was ever displayed in class. So this is something I will have to work hard for, but I am determined to get better at a variety of mediums such as coloured pencils, watercolour and markers.
improve handwriting
While browsing through many videos on YouTube, I discovered it’s not very difficult to change your handwriting. I was pleased with mine, but improvements are always welcome. In 2019, I want to continue to pay attention to this.
